What is the unit of mass?
In the International System of Units (SI) mass was chosen as the fundamental physical quantity, that is not expressible in terms of other quantities. Its unit is the kilogram, which is indicated by the symbol kg.

What is meant by weighbridge?

What is a load cells?

What does it mean approved weighing instruments? What obligations are subject?
For legal use means the use of the weighing instrument in the sale. 'S regulated by D.L. No. 517 of 12.29.1992 published on art.2 G.U. No. 306, 31/12/1992. Approved instruments, in addition to initial verification at the time of trade, must undergo a periodic review and supervision by competent authorities.

Who is allowded to check weighing systems for legal use?
It must be a metrological laboratories accredited by the Chamber of Commerce and Offices Metric. TASSINARI BILANCE is a metrological laboratory, and is thus able to calibrate any weighing instrument.

What is "verificazione prima"?
The company that installed the equipment must first verify masses using certified sample of not less than 20% of maximum range of the instrument in accordance with the European Standard EN45501.
Only successful verification must provide for the issuance of the Declaration of Conformity and affixing specially marked.
For example, for a weighbridge with a capacity of 60,000 kg is therefore necessary to use at least 14,000 kg mass sample, require the installation of the instrument work in accordance with these guidelines.

What is the frequency of the "verificazione periodica"?
To use legal instruments (then used to purchase) the statutory requirement foreseen in Decree 182 of 28 March 2000 imposes a three-year frequency. As for the measuring instruments used in production processes in companies operating in the quality system, the frequency has to be agreed with the Certification body.

What is the periodic verification?
Periodic testing is a test metrology whose frequency is fixed by law every three years to verify the maintenance of measurement characteristics. The holders of the securities must require regular checking the chamber of commerce of the province or competence of laboratories accredited by chambers of commerce, such as Tassinari scales.

Who controls the effective implementation of Legislative Decree February 2, 2007, No. 22?

What is the MID directive?
The European Directive 2004/22/EC, also known as Directive MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) is an EU directive that applies to instruments measuring, regulating the manufacture, marketing and commissioning. The MID Directive was adopted by the Council of the European Parliament, and aims to go beyond individual national regulations in each Member State. Covers ten categories of measuring instruments and is designed to harmonize standards for these new instruments put on the market or in use in Europe by eliminating the differences that existed between the various national regulations. This Directive allows manufacturers to choose between different conformity assessment procedures for their instruments. Strengthens the European standards and OIML recommendations, and introduces the concept of presumption of conformity with essential requirements. Certificates of Compliance MID valid throughout Europe. It will therefore be easier for manufacturers to market their measuring instruments controlled. The directive MID is applied to: Water meters, gas meters and volume conversion devices, active electrical energy meters, heat meters, continuous and dynamic measurement instruments for liquids other than water, automatic weighing instruments, taximeters, Material measures, tools for measuring the size, exhaust gas analyzers.

From when MID directive is in force in Italy?
The MID Directive has been implemented by the Italian state by legislative decree. February 2, 2007, No. 22 "Implementation of Directive 2004/22/EC on measuring instruments.
The decree, published in the Official Gazette No. 64 of 17 March 2007 Ordinary Supplement No. 73 / L entered into force March 18, 2007.
